- β’You must elect for Personal Assessment to claim personal allowances and deductions. Without this election, only Profits Tax applies.
- β’Keep all supporting documents (receipts, invoices, care home agreements, charitable donation acknowledgments) for at least 7 years.
- β’If combined income (after allowances) is low enough, you may not owe tax or qualify for rebates.
